file working in progress!
Every time that i complete a piece i clean it whit acetone and than spry it whit WD40 to prevent rust.

Landing gear Brake Plate

I'm going for standard bungee gear configuration, so need to build brake plates to weld on wheels axle.

Landing gear Frwd. bracket

Need to wait until September before i can start building the fusolage, because i want to talk about my project with Frank.. first, which is a experienced welder, that has done a lot of work around here.
Anyway i'm on vacation! So i've time to build some spare parts!

I ordered a pice of 4130N steel 0.100" thick from ACS, and drew template on A4 adhesive sheet of paper that i've cut and attached on for reference.

Than i made rough cut! Fortunally my vertical bendsaw works great!
 Shaping project whit files.

I use 6"-10" flat file first, than 4" half round, for smoot trim and shaping round corners, and also a 4"-6" round file on narrow corners.
Finally i sand all borders with a 120 grit cloth sandpaeper.

All Drilled!! still need to bend the two tabs and weld tubes.
